United Parks Ride Height Restrictions

Seaworld’s gradual rebranding into adventure parks has added much needed thrills over the last few years at the expense of family offerings.

The pivot in the brand is paying off. Seaworld is now the roller coaster capital of Orlando, while Busch Gardens takes that crown for the South Eastern USA.

Looking to the future, United are focusing heavily on families to round out their park offerings ahead of expansion into resorts with the addition of on-site hotels and other facilities making better use of over 400 acres of land surrounding their current parks.

If you are a teenager chances are that a visit to Bush Gardens will be high on your list.

As one of the top zoo institutions in the U.S.A. Busch Gardens Tampa has plenty to offer younger visitors beyond Sesame Street Land.

It is great as a day trip if you are going to be based in Orlando but if you want to twin Orlando with a week of calm by the sea, Busch Gardens offers heart pounding thrills (including the largest selection of roller coasters in one park in the South Eastern US), plus the largest water park on the Gulf Coast minutes from the powder white soft sand beaches of the Gulf Coast. 

Aquatica is the perfect calming day out for those that want a break from Disney.

The pastel colours and Caribbean theming mix well with some of the best water slides in Orlando.

Add in plenty of sun loungers and one of the largest wave pools in Orlando what’s not to love about this Caribbean slice of heaven in the middle of Orlando.

Busch Garden’s seasonal water park, Adventure Island, is a Caribbean-themed slice of watery fun, just 5 minutes from the main park.

As the largest water park on the Gulf Coast, you can expect the usual array of water slides. Racing slides, drop slides and speed slides infuse a little thrill to the family friendly raft slide selection.

A 17,000 sqaure foot wave pool, lazy river and 2 dedicated childrens areas round out the offering here.

You’ll be hard pushed to find any UK ticket offers including Adventure Island though as there is little reason to make the journey out to Tampa for something that you can get in the saturated (pun intended) Orlando water park market.

If you’re staying in the area, Adventure Island has some welcome thrills to offer to offset those lazy beach days.

Discovery Cove is Orlando’s only all-inclusive, family-friendly day park. The focus in Discovery Cove is much more on the nature around you than on outright thrills.
