Disney World Ride Height Restrictions

Magic Kingdom is built for families but there are a few attractions that have a minimum rider height for safety.

If an attractions says it is family friendly, chances are that everyone will be able to ride but that may be subject to certain conditions. Check with an attraction entrance cast member for specifics.

All attractions that have height restrictions have a “child swap” facility so nobody needs to miss out, just ask a cast member when you get in the queue.

Labelled a dull park by many, EPCOT may not have yet realised it’s full potential, but shards of brilliance do shine in this park.

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the best (and largest) family coasters in the world. Test Track’s reimagining has revitalised that attraction and family friendly additions such as  ‘Frozen Ever After’ and ‘Ratatouille’ help make the park more relevant for young guests.

Often labelled Disney’s most mature park, the introduction of Toy Story Land and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction is a promising move in a family-friendly territory.

Hollywood Studios investment in world class immersion and attractions bring huge crowds without the necessary capacity so arriving early is key to enjoying your day here.

One thing that Hollywood Studios excels at is shows. There are shows here for everybody and most, but not all, are indoors with air conditioning!

Disney’s largest park by far is as much about exploring as it is about a slimmer selection of headline attractions.

People that label the park boring or “half-day” due to a lack of attractions are completely missing the point of Animal Kingdom.

Disney have always been experts in the small details. Details many overlook but ones that often evoke emotional connections.

Animal Kingdom rewards those that dare to look beyond the attractions.

Typhoon Lagoon is the perfect mix of thrills for those that want them and chills for everyone else.

Typhoon Lagoon keeps a wonderful balance of attractions for everyone in a peaceful tropical paradise shaded setting.

It may be one of the oldest water parks in Orlando but it still pretty much sets the benchmark other waterparks desperately try to follow.

After the success of Typhoon Lagoon Blizzard Beach opened with added thrills in a melting ski resort setting, because, well, why not!

There may be more slides to choose from here but the pace feels a little more frenetic than Typhoon Lagoon.

Which park you prefer will come down to personal choice but Blizzard Beach theming is a little too kitsch for me.
