Crowds are heavier at weekends, thanks to aggressive pricing for annual passes for Florida residents who like to visit outside of work hours and tie in one of the events running throughout January,  like the popular Just For Kids Weekends and Seven Seas Food Festival.

Noticeably quieter than January, February is a month of 2 halves.

The first fortnight is very quiet compared to the preceding few weeks. The first public holiday of the year, Presidents’ Day (every third Monday in February), brings the first opportunity for people to get away for a break, with visitor numbers spiking the following week.

Expect heavier crowds in the week leading up to Easter weekend at the end of the month. Officially Spring Break starts around the second week of March, but peak crowds are expected from the last week of March through almost the first fortnight of April.

Avoiding the peak Spring Break crowds, late April is still a great time to visit for warm weather without the humidity of the summer months.

Low to moderate crowds and the end of Seaworld’s Seven Seas Festival early in the month, coupled with fantastic weather and no significant public holidays until the end of the month, make May a brilliant time to visit Orlando if you want to avoid peak crowds but still have the weather.

June heralds the start of the US School holidays in many US States, running through to the first week of August. Dates vary by state and region, so some schools follow our system of holidays returning in early September. As a general rule, expect some schools to be off from late May through Late August, with the peak in late June through early August.

Now, every US state school is guaranteed to be off, so you can expect crowds to be uniformly busy throughout the whole month. Weekdays are still a tad quieter than weekends, with the park remaining open until late to deal with the extra crowds, providing more chances to see ‘Ignite’, Seaworld’s impressive, but seasonal, drone and firework spectacular.

In line with other Orlando parks, the first week of August is the busiest at Seaworld Orlando. Crowds are noticeably quieter in the latter half of the month once many US schools have returned for their autumn term. The last week of the month sees ‘Haloween Spooktacular’ return to the park for a family-friendly twist on Seaworld’s increasingly popular Howl-O-Scream event.

September is one of the quietest months in Seaworld Orlando. Howl-O-Scream runs on select nights, but is a separately ticketed event, so days in the parks are very quiet compared to the preceding 2 months.

The family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular takes place during the day and is included in your park entrance ticket.

Continuing September’s trend, weekdays in October are noticeably quiet, particularly on Howl-O-Scream event days, but weekends are markedly busier.

2025 continued the rise in popularity of Seaworld’s Howl ‘O’ Scream event. It may not match Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, but unique storylines and great theming in the houses they do have make Howl-O-Scream one of the most affordable scare events in Orlando.

Like October, weekdays in November are a very good time to visit, with November being largely another buffer month in between two popular holiday celebrations.

The first fortnight is a great time to visit to see Seaworld Orlando in full on Christmas mode without the crowds of the last fortnight, but bear in mind the park may close earlier in December than later when budgets are expanded to cater for larger crowds.
